KIDS SUMMER ART CAMPS

  • WK 1 (JULY 6 - JULY 11) - $325

    This summer, embark on an artistic adventure below and above the sea's shoreline. Through a beach-inspired approach to art, participants will search for treasures along the beach, discover tidal pools, and create art incorporating mixed media, sculpture, and watercolor techniques while swimming alongside jellyfish and mermaids.

  • WK 2 (JULY 13 - JULY 17) - $355

    It's time to experiment in the studio! Mixed-media art creates exciting opportunities for self-expression as we explore color mixing, brushwork, and design. We will create artwork, including painting on canvas, working with paper and cardboard, exploring watercolor techniques, trying printmaking, and making sculptures from found objects. Join us to discover the exciting possibilities of these various art-making processes.

  • WK 3 (AUG 10 - AUG 14) - $375

    Join us for an exciting and inspiring week of art boot camp! You'll have the opportunity to experiment with new art materials, learn various art-making techniques, and practice your favorite styles. Throughout the week, we will explore the fundamentals of drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, resin pouring, and much more!

  • WK 4 (AUG 17 - AUG 21) - $355

    Take a breath of fresh air and create art inspired by nature. This week is about learning to work with your environment to make unique art pieces. Campers will use natural materials collected from the forest and beach to unleash their creativity while learning about the beauty of nature and wildlife.

  • WK 5 (AUG 24 - AUG 28) - $325

    Join us for the first week of summer adventures! Kids will explore unique ways to find inspiration, learn new art techniques, and unleash their creativity. This fun and engaging camp encourages children to think outside the box and develop their artistic curiosity, all while having an unforgettable summer experience!

At Beachcomber Arts, our summer art camps for kids in Comox are designed for young artists who love to create, explore, get messy, and make artwork they’re genuinely proud to bring home. More than typical kids summer camps or simple crafts, our hands-on art camps focus on painting, drawing, sculpture, mixed media, and immersive themed projects taught in a real studio environment.

Each week encourages creativity, confidence, and individuality through process-driven art making and engaging artistic experiences. Whether your child is picking up a paintbrush for the first time or already obsessed with art, campers work with high-quality materials, learn new techniques, and create unique gallery-worthy pieces while making friends and expressing themselves freely.

Families across the Comox Valley choose Beachcomber Arts for our small camp sizes, experienced instructors, and thoughtfully designed projects that go beyond typical summer camp activities. Our goal is to inspire creativity through elevated, hands-on art experiences that feel memorable, meaningful, and truly special.

 Parent Information

  • Week-long camp:$325 - $375 *dependent on materials

    Week-long camp w/ before and after care:$375 - $425

    All camp fees include all art materials and supplies.

    We accept payment via cash, cheque or e-transfer.

  • We can accommodate those requiring early drop-off or late pick-up for your camper. Before and after care will be an additional $10/day.

    Before care: runs 8 am - 9 am

    Aftercare: 4 pm - 5 pm

    *Make sure to select this add-on when registering for camp.

  • Includes all art supplies and an apron. Please bring a nut-free lunch, 2 snacks, water, a hat, sunscreen, a towel, and water shoes. Campers will take home 4-7 beautiful art creations!

  • For each week of the summer camp, there are 7-10 campers. We prefer a hands-on approach by keeping our camp sizes small so that each child receives more individual attention.

  • Prior to the start of camp, we ask that parents/guardians inform us of health concerns, including food allergies or support needs.

  • We are committed to making art education programming accessible to all. However, due to limited capacity, some restrictions may apply.

    If your child has a one-to-one support at school, we are not able to provide that type of support, and a support person must accompany your child to camp.

  • All students must have a parent/guardian fill out and sign a waiver before the start of camp.

  • A camp registration may be withdrawn up to seven days prior to the start of camp class.

    No refunds will be issued less than seven days prior to the start of camp class.
